4" Portal Gear Lift — The go-to option for riders who want meaningful clearance gains without major suspension modifications. Pair it with a 15% gear reduction for light trail and utility use, or step up to 30% for more aggressive terrain. Available in both single and dual idler configurations, and in cast or billet aluminum housing. Runs on 14" or larger wheels with stock suspension — no aftermarket suspension required.

6" Portal Gear Lift — Built for riders ready to go bigger. Choose between a 30% or 45% gear reduction to match your riding style, and pair with billet or cast aluminum housings. Requires 18" or larger wheels and aftermarket suspension (offset A-arms or a suspension lift kit) to accommodate the increased height.

8" Portal Gear Lift — The ultimate setup for conquering extreme terrain. This configuration provides a massive eight inches of additional lift with a 45% or 60% gear reduction, delivering the torque needed to turn oversized tires and plow through the deepest mud pits and toughest rock crawls. Requires 22" or larger wheels and aftermarket suspension. (Cast Housing Only)

Traditional lift kits raise your machine but do nothing for your drivetrain — and running bigger tires robs you of torque. GDP Portals solve both problems at once by placing the gear reduction directly at the hub, at the end of the drivetrain, rather than inside the transmission. This strategic placement means your axles, differentials, prop shafts, and transmission all experience significantly less stress and wear. Stock suspension geometry is maintained, so you won't overextend or destroy axles.

Built to Survive the Harshest Conditions

Every GDP Portal is engineered for abuse. Precision CNC-ground gears are made from 9310 alloy billet steel — one of the toughest gear steels in the industry. Drive shafts are crafted from 4340 hardened steel at 1.5 inches in diameter. The 5/16" advanced steel alloy backing plates exceed the strength of chromoly. Housings are available in cast or billet aluminum, both reinforced for gear retention and optimized for oil flow. Advanced gaskets and O-rings deliver excellent oil resistance and low deterioration, while roller idler and drive bearings maintain perfect gear meshing mile after mile.

No gimmicks, no vents — SuperATV tested them extensively and found vents cause more harm than good. These portals are sealed to perform.

Dual Idler Technology (Available on 4" Portals)

SuperATV's patented Dual Idler configuration places a second idler gear inside the portal box, spreading the load over twice the surface area. This means stronger, more reliable torque transfer and the most robust gear set available. Each pair of idler gears is precision CNC-ground to ensure flawless meshing.

What's Included

Each GDP Portal Gear Lift kit ships complete with four assembled portal hub boxes (with 9310 gears, seals, output shafts, gaskets, and thrust bearings), four universal hubs with precision-ground stainless steel slotted rotors and lugs, caliper adapter plates, specialized steel alloy backing plates, steel steering arms, steering stop kit, extended brake lines, and all required installation hardware including a recessed castle nut socket. Universal hubs fit all major bolt patterns.

Wheel Compatibility at a Glance

All configurations require a minimum center hole diameter of 3.25" (82.55 mm), or the use of a 1" wheel spacer. The 4" portals are not compatible with dual beadlock wheels.

SuperATV stands behind every set of GDP Portals with a Limited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects for the original purchaser. Use only 80W-90 gear oil (or SuperATV's Portal Blood formula) — using grease will void the warranty.
