About Us

I was always the first in my group of friends to take my 92 Honda Fourtrax 300 through the deepest mud hole around.  Of course, I was also the first to get my ride pulled back to the trailer due to engine failure!

Fed up with costly engine repairs, I designed my first snorkel back in 2002 for my fourtrax.  I had to remove the factory air intake and run 1.5" black abs pipe and elbows from the airbox, to my front rack, and then up above my handlebars.  I also had to extend all factory vent lines, which attached to the carburetor, front & rear differentials, brakes, and engine case.  While I was at it, I had one of my friends weld me up a stainless steel exhaust snorkel, which allowed my exhaust to escape higher up.

Once everthing was complete I was able to ride through the "deep stuff" without my engine cutting off.  Of course, this caught some attention from friends and they also wanted snorkels on their rides.  As time passed, I eventualy sold my Honda Fourtrax and bought my first Sport ATV, which was a 02 Honda 400ex.  Being able to jump hills and go fast was fun, but my passion was riding through mud and water.  Knowing the 400ex wasn't cut out for that type of riding, I sold it and bought another Honda Fourtrax 300, and thats when it all began!

I learned over the years by constantly watching riders destroy their ATV engines from deep mud/water.  People needed snorkels, but most didn't have the knowledge to design their own.  That is why I started Extreme Snorkels in the summer of 2007!  I designed and sold the first ever Polaris RZR 800 Snorkel Kit, which was a big hit!  Sure it's cheaper to go to your local hardware store and buy everything needed to make a snorkel, IF know what you're doing, but why do that when you can purchase a complete kit with everything needed at your finger tips, except some basic hand tools?

In late 2010, I realized I needed to offer more than just snorkels, so I began connecting with other great ATV/UTV companies which manufacturered products I wasn't capable of making.  Audio systems, axles, lift kits, tires, and wheels are just a few items to mention.  Knowing my old website couldn't handle all of the new products/customers,  I scrapped it and launched a new fully functional shopping cart system, which you see here today at extremesnorkels.com.

Like most small business owners, I still work a regular full time job during the day and then go home to run my ATV business on the side with the help of my wife.  Working two jobs becomes difficult at times, but I always do my best to keep you, the customer happy.  Without you this company would not exist!
